SANUU is a voice and platform for the 8.5 million South Africans without work, restoring dignity, sharing stories and opening doors to opportunity. Unemployed does not mean unworthy.
Who we are
The South African National Unemployment Upliftment (SANUU) stands with the more than 8.5 million South Africans who are without work. Behind that number are real people: parents, graduates, youth and breadwinners, each with skills, hopes and a story that matters.
Being unemployed doesn’t make anyone less. SANUU exists to restore dignity to those who have been overlooked, and to remind every person that their worth is not measured by a payslip.
We are a voice for the unemployed, so their struggles are heard. We are also a platform where they can share their stories, find opportunities, learn from others and be seen. We believe that when people are listened to, supported and given a fair chance, they rise.
SANUU stands for the unemployed, with the unemployed. Together, we are building hope, one person at a time.
